VALPOLICELLA DOC

The Valley of Mezzane. The Valley of Mezzane finds its southern boundary in the territory of Lavagno (Vago) and extends then northwards until it reaches the municipality of San Mauro di Saline. Climatically homogeneous, it shows a wide variety of soil types.

The Valley of Illasi. While the Mezzane valley slopes gently up to the higher hills, the Illasi valley, on the other hand, rises quickly and reaches greater heights in a more limited space. This is the longest of the valleys that cut the Veronese mountains to the east and shows a wide variety of soil types.

The Valley of Cazzano di Tramigna Situated further east than the Illasi valley, compared to which it is shorter, this valley begins between the hills near Campiano and ends south of Soave. Beyond the Soave hills, we find the Val d'Alpone. It has volcanic soils.
