Valpolicella DOC

The Valpolicella DOC is a young and fine wine with a vinous aroma and delicate bouquet. On the palate, it is fresh, dry or rather smooth and pleasantly vibrant. It is obtained by classic red winemaking from Valpolicella grapes, followed by a short maturation.

A “Valpolicella DOC Superiore” must have higher quality characteristics. It is made from selected grapes grown in the best locations, sometimes through a short drying phase which leads to higher alcohol content and structure. Before being released on the market, it must age for at least one year.

PAIRING

Try the Valpolicella DOC with appetizers, light first courses and white meats; it’s enjoyable with fresh summer dishes. The stronger taste of a "Valpolicella DOC Superiore" makes it very good with second courses, with a preference for red meats and medium seasoned cheeses.

MOST COMMONLY USED WINE CLOSURES:
  • One-piece natural cork,
  • agglomerated cork,
  • agglomerated cork stoppers with natural cork discs,
  • screw cap,
  • technical corks.
