Azienda Agricola Monte Zovo di Cottini Diego e Figli s.s.

The Cottini family has always put respect for biodiversity, and its preservation, as the aim of what they do: Monte Zovo is the result. Monte Zovo wines are made entirely from grapes from the family’s owned 140hectares of vines, unique in their location and their expression of terroir, spread across Verona’s three main denominations: Valpolicella, Garda and Lugana. A story of determination based on sustainability, where the passion for the land is always combined with the desire to welcome those who want to discover it. The Cottini Family offers different kinds of visits and tastings, to give every visitor an unforgettable experience.

History

Back in 1925, Carlo Cottini established the family’s first agricultural enterprise. His son Raffaello built its first winery in Fumane, Valpolicella, where the family has its roots. In 1965, he bought the Caprino Veronese estate, where the Monte Zovo winery now stands. Diego Cottini has maintained the family tradition by acquiring new land in eastern Valpolicella and Lugana, taking the company to foreign markets, and growing it into the significant business it has become. Diego is the company’s heart and soul and has always been an advocate of high-altitude wines produced on hilly terrain. His wife, Annalberta, is the driving force behind the company’s philosophy of vineyard sustainability and biodiversity. Their two sons put this vision into practice: with his technical training in winemaking, Michele Cottini works in the winery, while Mattia Cottini puts his flair for communication to use working on the company’s marketing and hospitality.
