Since 1969 the Galli family want to focus on quality and not quantity. Arnaldo Galli, oenologist, and his wife Marta in 1969 began to research and experiment new techniques in vinegrowing and wine-making. Nowadays, their sons Paolo, graduated in Business Management, and Marco, graduated in Agriculture with a thesis on “Microvinification of local varieties”, are still researching and experimenting to have always top quality wines. North of Verona, in the town of Negrar (VR, Veneto), at the Valpolicella Classica zone’s highest point (1,148 feet), Le Ragose estate overlooks gentle, lush green hills.The winery is composed of 32 hectares, 18 planted as vineyards. The altitude is from 250 to 400 meters high. For the production of our grapes we use the simple trellies. This method protect the grapes from the sun, the rain and the storms and it is perfect for the production of our local varieties.

History

In 1969 Arnaldo Galli, oenologist, and his wife Marta bought Le Ragose. Marta, the daughter of Paolo, graduated in management, is the third
generation of Le Ragose. Located upon a hill, in Valpolicella Classica, Le Ragose winery is composed of 32 hectares, 18 planted as vineyards. The altitude is from 250 to 400 meters high.
