Azienda Agricola Albino Armani.

The name Albino Armani has its roots in 400 years of history, winegrowing and passion for wine. A dynamic reality, which since its inception has looked favorably on growth and development, but also on conservation. Today, the ambitious family project boasts five privately owned estates, composing a total of 330 hectares of vineyards. The family vineyards are situated in three major Italian winegrowing regions: Veneto, Trentino and Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

History

The Marano winery is located in Camporal (Campo Reale), on the highest hills of Valpolicella, at 500 meters above sea level, where our grapevines grow on "marogne", typical dry-wall terraces. Camporal lies on the highest belt of arable land, just before the extreme limit of altitude. Here we produce "high altitude" Valpolicella wines, composed of a rich array of autochthonous grape varieties, such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta, all historically documented as native of these heights. Consequently, Albino Armani’s Valpolicella wines are bringing the hilly origin of local wines back into vogue. Here at the Marano estate, like our ancestors, we respect the slow and demanding ritual of cultivation and processing, the teachings of tradition. The drying of the grapes occurs naturally in the Camporal drying chambers, in the high hills and on steep slopes, between woods and cherry groves.
