The Aldegheri family has been working in the heart of Valpolicella area with passion and commitment since 1956, making daily improvements to the process which transforms the product for which this area is world-famous: wine.
The family character of the Aldegheri winery and the fine balance between technological know-how and a simple love of nature and its fruits have allowed the Aldegheri to achieve a very high level of quality over the years.
Covering about 50 hectares of the hills which are historically known as the Valpolicella, the vineyards are managed both directly by the Aldegheri family and by expert viticulturists, who have worked with the winery since it was founded. It is in these vineyards that the Aldegheri family works to a triumph the quality grapes they grow.
Most of the vineyards are situated in the hills and face southeast, adding rich detail to the Valpolicella landscape as to a piece of fine embroidery.
Thanks to their experience, tradition, and technology, but chiefly to their love of the land, the wines produced here enable the taster to conjure the emotions of this region and experience moments of joy and pleasure.

History

The Aldegheri family has been working in the heart of Valpolicella area with passion and commitment since 1956, making daily improvements to the process which transforms the product for which this area is world-famous: wine.
The different members of the family each have their own areas of competence. Lorenzo is responsible for the vineyards and vinification process, from selecting the grapes to controlling the fermentation and ageing times. Adriano, his younger brother, manages the administrative side of the business, including the purchase and implementation of production systems, with a strong emphasis on innovation. Their cousin Vincenzo runs the company’s commercial and public relations sectors, coordinating the work of salesmen and marketing activities.
The second generation play a vital role, providing the company with constant updates in the relevant sectors, which enable it to operate successfully.
This family-run company can maintain perfect coordination between traditional technologies and a love of nature and its products which has led to a very high level of quality being attained over the years. The Aldegheri wines are the result of the special attention paid to the vineyards, the scrupulous selection of grapes and constant perfecting of vinification technologies. Taste them for moments of joy and pleasure and savour their subtle nature.

Organization

The Aldegheri Winery offer the possibility of:

• Visit the cellar
• Taste the products by choosing one of three different types of tastings proposed.

The tasting will be accompanied by a buffet based on:

• Bread, salami
• Local cheese

Guided tour in Italian or English.
On Saturday there is no visit to the cellar, only the tasting in the Wine Shop.
Duration of the visit with tasting: about 1 hour/1 hour and a half.
