AMARONE RELEASE 2012: EDITION 2.0

SATURDAY JANUARY 30TH AND SUNDAY JANUARY 31ST AT PALAZZO DELLA GRAN GUARDIA IN VERONA

12th January 2016

It will be version 2.0, the thirteenth edition of the Amarone Release scheduled at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona the 30th and 31st of January. It has become, over the years, the most prominent of the Consorzio Valpolicella, now even more “social” with the Facebook page in full force. News of the denominations, highlights and insights dedicated to Amarone are among the themes accessible to the public via the dedicated site, www.anteprimaamarone.it, along with information and profiles of participating wineries.

More than seventy attending producers will propose tastings of the new vintage, alongside historic vintages. Guests can thus discover the potential of Amarone in relation to the characteristics of the diverse valleys and peculiarities of the territory. Modernity and tradition are evident in the diverse styles and philosophies of the wineries. Amarone della Valpolicella and its success, by now renowned on a global level, will be the protagonist of the opening convention, moderated by Andrea Scanzi. Along with President Christian Marchesini and the work of the Consortium, the technical presentation of the vintage will be led by Doctor Diego Tommasi of Cra di Conegliano, along with a recorded performance detailing the international market of the Amarone denomination, presented by Doctor Denis Pantini of Nomisma.

Journalists will have the opportunity to discover the new vintage in a private room with sommelier service, or otherwise among the tastings halls where they can converse with the producers about the evolution of the Great Red from the Veneto.
