The winery is on 350 meters above sea level, in the Marano Valley, the heart of classic Valpolicella. The vineyards are surrounded by the “marogne”, the typical dry stone walls of this area, from where the winery is named. Vines are trained on “pergola” method and only the estate finest Valpolicella grapes varieties are grown. The harvest is carefully performed by hand. The “appassimento” starts during the harvest and lasts approximately till the end of winter. From this process Amarone, “el Nane” and Recioto wines will be produced. The wines stay in French oak tonneaux and barriques for refinement and aging, in the historical cellar.
